SushiSpin Episode 7: Phi Brain: Puzzle Pirates

Episode 7 is here at long last! Sorry for our hiatus, but we totally are doing episodes again!  The first to come out is Beth and I watching Phi Brain, a puzzle anime where you solve puzzles.  Except you don’t because they don’t let you solve the puzzle.  Why did we watch this again?

(We will totally post more, I’ve got 2 more in the pipeline.)

Sakura-Con Happened!

Hey everybody!  I just got back from Sakura-con in Seattle, Washington and I had a ton of fun.  I made it over to the Yen Press Panel, where they announced exciting things like licensing Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-Kun and Servant x Service, which I’m super insanely hyped about, as well as Yowamushi Pedal (which I hear is exciting, I may have to check it out).  I bought some stupid stuff, as well as some cool stuff that will definitely get episodes of Woolongs Well Wasted once that all gets started.

The major reason I’m making this post is to tell you all the exciting news about our next SushiSpin episode.

I bought a grab-bag from a vendor for $20, and it feels like it has 3 dvd cases in it.

I hope you are all prepared.

Sushispin Episode 3: AKB0048: Did that just happen!?[don’t think there are spoilers]

So we took like a week off because I’m a scrub and got wrecked by work, BUT WE’RE BACK! So here you go!  We watched AKB0048, the Idol-scifi-mecha show, because why not.

4/5/15 EDIT: now available for streaming on Soundcloud!

Kawaii Soldiers of Singing
AKB0048 is a mecha-idol-scifi show

This show was fun.  I had no idea what we were getting into, and it was fun.

Also, if you want, use the comments or the GigaDrill@sushispin.moe email to tell us why we’re wrong and this show is Keima Katsuragi’s gift to the world or literally the worst thing on the planet.

SushiSpin Episode 2: Sherlock Hound: A Study In Sick Jumps

We recorded this like a week ago, but here it is! This week we have Tyler and Robert, and we watched Sherlock Hound, the 1985 Japanese-Italian show about dogs doing sick jumps at each other.

4/5/15 EDIT: now available for streaming on Soundcloud!

Sherlock Hound

Look at these Speed Demons.

Who needs Fast 7 when you’ve got the fastest dog in London?
